Dr. Judson Dacher-Shapiro is a trusted Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in Cranston, RI. Dr. Dacher-Shapiro graduated from SUNY Binghamton with honors, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Spanish. After graduation, the U.S. Navy selected him for the Health Professions Scholarship Program, providing a full scholarship to attend the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, now known as Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. He graduated in the top 10 percent of his class. From here, he completed his internship and residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, in 2019. During his training, he was fortunate to be exposed to all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, utilizing the latest technology and techniques to treat service members and their families.

He was then stationed at Naval Health Clinic Newport, RI, for four years as the staff Oral Surgeon where he continued to practice the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His nine years of Active-Duty Service providing in-office and hospital-based surgical care in the Navy gave him unique experiences as a surgeon.

His special interests include dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants and bone grafting, treatment of oral maxillofacial pathology, orthognathic surgery, trauma surgery, and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Shapiro is committed to maintaining excellent relationships with his patients, fellow dentists, and physicians to ensure a collaborative approach to patient care.
