Academically, Dr. Norman obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1994. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry Degree from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in 2001, after which she completed her specialty training in Periodontics and Dental Implants at the esteemed University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2004.

An educator in her field, Dr. Norman was Clinical Assistant Professor in Periodontics and participated in clinical research at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dentistry and at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine.

Periodontics is the dental specialty focusing exclusively on the inflammatory disease that destroys the gums and other supporting structures around the teeth. A periodontist is a dentist who specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal, or disease, and in the placement of dental implants.

Dr. Norman credits her success to her unwavering faith in God, the invaluable support of her parents, and the guidance of exceptional mentors. Her peers recognized her achievements by nominating and voting her as Top Dentist, a distinction featured in Pittsburgh Magazine in 2012. Top Dentist in CT 2024. Additionally, she was acknowledged in a book by the American Dental Education Association, Opportunities for Minorities in the United States, 2002-2004, Fourth Edition. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dr. Norman is a pastor and dedicated volunteer in a non-denominational church.
