History Behind Our Clinic

Reservoir Family Dental was founded with a simple vision, to create a dental practice where patients feel welcomed, valued, and cared for like family. From the beginning, the practice has focused on providing high-quality dental care while building long-lasting relationships rooted in compassion, honesty, and personalized attention.

As dentistry evolved, so did our commitment to innovation and patient comfort. Our practice embraced advanced dental technology, modern treatment techniques, and continuing education to ensure patients receive efficient, comfortable, and high-quality care in a welcoming and modern environment. Dr. Karen Mega

Dr. Karen Mega is proud to be a true Rhode Islander. She was born and raised in Providence, she attended Classical High School and went to Providence College where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. She then attended Boston University School of Dentistry. She returned to Rhode Island to open her practice, with her mom being her first employee. She has been practicing at the same location for over 30 years. She has served as treasurer for the Cranston chapter of the RI dental association for five years, and she remains an active member of the RI dental association.

Dr. Mega is dedicated to her husband and two children. Having a special needs child, Dr. Mega is very involved in the special needs community and with the Special Olympics. She has a service dog Buzz who she helped train. Buzz is often at the office and provides emotional support.

Dr. Mega started her love for dentistry in grammar school. Her passion for caring for people has never wavered. She is passionate about educating patients about the importance of oral health to achieve total wellness. For this reason, she transitioned her practice three years ago to be mercury amalgam free! She is a member of the International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine, and has been focusing her continuing education on Biological Dentistry. It is her life’s journey to help others. She is proud to say she has generations of families entrusting their care to her, and she is grateful to have loyal, long-time employees.
