New Patients & What to Expect on Your First Visit

New Patients

Our dental practice has served West Hartford, CT, and the surrounding communities for over 20 years! Over the years, our practice has continued to grow, primarily as a result of patient referrals. 

We ask that new patients arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled appointment in order to fill out necessary patient forms. 

What to Expect on Your First Visit

Your first visit will include a very complete dental examination. In this way, we are able to diagnose your unique dental needs, discover your wants and talk with you about how we might fulfill them. The doctor will examine your mouth for signs of oral cancer and dental abnormalities (such as decay, missing teeth, jaw dysfunction, and any defective fillings). In addition, the hygienist will be doing a full periodontal (gum) charting to determine if any disease is present. In order to be as thorough as possible, radiographs (x-rays) will be taken. A full series (18 x-rays) is recommended by the American Dental Association every three years. If you have had x-rays taken recently, please bring them with you.

Dentistry now offers many new opportunities for improved health, function, and appearance that were unavailable only a few years ago. Please do not hesitate to ask about anything you do not understand. We look forward to seeing you!

If there is something on any of the forms that you do not understand, leave it blank, and we will help you when you get to our office.

Please bring in your completed Medical History, Financial Policy, HIPAA Form, and General Consent Form for each new patient. If you have records at another dentist, please fill out and send the patient record request to them or to us so that we will have that information prior to your first appointment.
