Insurance

As a service to our dental patients here in West Hartford, CT, our practice accepts most dental insurance programs, including non-managed care, indemnity (traditional), and PPO in-network. We are not part of any managed care (HMO or DMO) network. Our dental accounting staff will prepare all the necessary forms for your dental benefits.

Payment Options

For your convenience, we accept cash, personal checks, money orders, and all major credit cards. Payment of co-pays and deductibles are expected at the time services are performed.

When more extensive dental care is necessary, financial arrangements can be made with our office. We know that quality dentistry can be an investment. We do not want finances to stand in the way of getting the treatment you deserve. If you have extensive or long-term dental care needs, our office offers Care Credit®, a financing company that will fit anyone’s budget with affordable monthly payment options, no-interest or low-interest rates, no pre-payment penalty, and easy fast, secure, online approval. Our financial consultant will discuss your payment preferences and financial arrangements for your particular treatment plan options.

Estimating Costs

After we have completed your dental examination, we will customize a treatment plan for you with estimated patient responsibility and insurance benefits. Our staff is well-versed in the latest coverage trends and we are more than happy to discuss the specifics of your insurance plan prior to any treatment you may undergo. However, we remind you that your employer purchased your specific policy, and it is an agreement between you and your insurance company. Please keep in mind that you are responsible for your total obligation should your insurance benefits result in less coverage than anticipated. While we will attempt to estimate your dental benefits to the best of our ability, this is an estimate ONLY, and should not be depended on as the final decision. Dental benefit plans do not guarantee benefits until claims are received and reviewed. Our staff will gladly submit a pre-treatment estimate to your insurance company (when requested by you) so that you will know what your benefits will be.

Insurance Companies

You should be aware that different insurance companies vary greatly in the types of coverage available. Also, some companies take care of claims promptly, while others delay payment for several months. Should questions arise, it is best to contact your insurance company directly.

Dental insurance can help make the best dental care more affordable. Premiums and benefits can vary widely between different carriers and employer plans. Benefit plans are continually changing to place limitations and restrictions in order to keep premiums lower for the employer. Dental offices are not usually given all the limitations and restrictions of dental plans. Please be careful to fully understand the depth and limitations of your plan, but we are happy to help you understand your insurance coverage.
