Judson Dacher-Shapiro, DMD

Oral Surgeon

Dr. Judson Dacher-Shapiro graduated from SUNY Binghamton with honors, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Spanish. After graduation, the U.S. Navy selected him for the Health Professions Scholarship Program, providing a full scholarship to attend the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, which is now known as Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. He graduated in the top 10 percent of his class. From here, he completed his internship and residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD in 2019. During his time in training, he was fortunate to be exposed to all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, utilizing the latest technology and techniques to treat service members and their families.

He was then stationed at Naval Health Clinic Newport, RI for 4 years as the staff Oral Surgeon where he continued to practice the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His total of 9 years of Active-Duty Service providing in office, and hospital-based surgical care in the Navy provided him with unique experiences as a surgeon.

Dr. Shapiro is a Board Certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His special interests include dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants and bone grafting, treatment of oral maxillofacial pathology, orthognathic surgery, trauma surgery, and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Shapiro is committed to maintaining great relationships with his patients and fellow dentists and physicians to ensure a collaborative approach to patient care. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, playing hockey, and exploring Rhode Island with his family.

Nikole Pham, DMD

Oral Surgeon

Dr. Emery Nicholas graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she earned her D.M.D., graduating in the top ten percent of her class, which led her to be inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.

After finishing dental school, Dr. Nicholas continued her studies by attending medical school at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York, where she was elected chief resident in her final year. Following medical school, she completed her general surgery certificate at New York Presbyterian Hospital, which she has labeled her most valuable and significant time in her growth as a provider.

Before attending dental and medical school, Dr. Nicholas graduated from Amherst College with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. While at Amherst, Dr. Nicholas participated on the women’s lacrosse team and earned NCAA All-American honors twice and All-New England honors three times in her four-year participation with the team. From college, she went on to teach high school biology and chemistry while also coaching volleyball, squash, and lacrosse at an all-girls private school in Connecticut.

With nearly a decade of experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery, Dr. Nicholas is a highly trained surgeon who can perform procedures such as dental implants, wisdom tooth removal, bone grafts, treating facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, sedation, and more. In her free time, Dr. Nicholas enjoys yoga, exercising, reading, and spending time with her family.

Emery Nicholas, DMD

Oral Surgeon

Dr. Pham was born and raised in Alabama, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alabama before completing her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry. She went on to complete her Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Dr. Pham and her wife now call Rhode Island home, where they enjoy hiking, traveling, and exploring new restaurants together.
