At Ocean State Orthodontics, we believe every patient deserves an orthodontic experience that feels comfortable, personal, and built on trust. Our practice is dedicated to providing high-quality care in a warm and welcoming environment where patients can feel confident knowing their smiles are cared for by a compassionate and experienced team.

With two convenient Rhode Island locations in Westerly and Wakefield, we make it easier for patients and families to access personalized orthodontic care close to home. From traditional braces and clear aligners to retainers, dental appliances, and bite correction treatments, our team creates individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s unique needs, goals, and lifestyle. We take the time to listen, educate, and help every patient feel informed and confident throughout their orthodontic journey.

History Behind Our Clinic

Ocean State Orthodontics provides specialized orthodontic care for patients throughout the Smart Dental Network. Our goal is simple: make high-quality orthodontic treatment comfortable, convenient, and personalized for every patient.

Our orthodontic team works alongside trusted Smart Dental Network dental offices, giving patients access to specialty care while staying connected to the dental team they already know. From early orthodontic evaluations to braces and clear aligner treatment, we focus on creating healthy, confident smiles at every stage of life.

As part of the Smart Dental Network, Ocean State Orthodontics combines specialized expertise with the welcoming, patient-centered experience Smart Dental Network patients have come to expect. Our doctors take the time to understand each patient’s goals and create treatment plans designed around their individual needs.

Sundus Noeen, DMD, Orthodontics

Dr. Sundus Noeen is a board-certified orthodontist dedicated to creating healthy, confident smiles through personalized, compassionate care. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree, summa cum laude, from Boston University in 2021 and completed her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at New York University in 2024. During residency, she served as both a Resident Class Representative and Resident Champion at the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) Annual Meeting, reflecting her commitment to leadership and organized dentistry. Outside the office, Dr. Noeen enjoys staying active through hiking, biking, walking, tennis, and boxing. She and her husband, Chris, are passionate food lovers and travel enthusiasts who enjoy discovering new cafés and planning spontaneous weekend getaways together.

Olivia Middleton, DMD, Orthodontics

Dr. Olivia Middleton earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Northeastern University. She then attended Harvard School of Dental Medicine where she received her Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry, and subsequently pursued additional specialty training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. She completed a three-year residency at Harvard in 2026, earning a Master of Medical Sciences and Certificate in Orthodontics.

Dr. Olivia is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, the Massachusetts Dental Society and the American Dental Association. Dr. Olivia currently lives in Boston, MA with her husband, Dr. Jordan Middleton, and their daughter. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with family.
