Alexander. McGuiness, DDS

Dr. McGuiness is a well-rounded general dentist with advanced training and experience in a wide range of procedures, including dental implant restorations, clear aligner orthodontics, root canal therapy, surgical extractions, and dentures. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, with minors in Chemistry and Jazz Music, from Stony Brook University before completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. He then completed a General Practice Residency at Faxton-St. Luke's Hospital within the Mohawk Valley Healthcare System in Utica, New York.

Outside the office, Dr. McGuiness enjoys traveling with his wife, Dr. Dana Bergenfeld, who is also a dentist. He is an accomplished musician, playing jazz and funk guitar and bass, composing original music, and performing with rock bands. He also enjoys mountain biking and street biking.
